MARVIN
DECKELMANN

I was born and raised in Mexico City where I studied a degree in
Visual Communication at the UC, in CDMX. (2011-2015)
My professional journey began in 2006 when I started working as a transcriber for InterVideo company and Eurolatinoamericana, doing the subtitling of international series, such as Napoleon, Sissy and Les Miserables.
In 2014 I joined, as a production coordinator, the Short Shorts Film Festival with
Cineteca Nacional as the main venue. During this time, I also contributed as a production assistant in the film retrospective of Swiss director Thomas Imbach.
Shortly after, I transitioned to Walmart TV at Walmart's corporate headquarters for Mexico & Central America, while also collaborating with the National Ministry of Culture
on the “Night of Museums” initiative.
In 2016, I joined Indie Rocks!, a digital music magazine, where I worked on audiovisual projects with renowned brands such as Doritos, Bacardi, and Bud Light. I also produced content for Mexico City’s Ministry of Tourism, promoting tourism in social media,
where I was fully engaged until 2017.
From 2017 to 2019, I worked at Neurone, a creative agency,
documenting sustainable energy projects for global companies like
Enel Green Power and Prodiel across Mexico.
In 2019, I relocated to the Netherlands, where I collaborated with the independent music platform NDSM Sessions and freelanced for companies such as Valnet and Underknown, contributing to their YouTube channels.
In 2022, I worked for Unknown Group in The Hague for a six-month period.
In 2023, I joined BASED AF, focusing on content creation around the metaverse and Web3. We later transitioned into virtual production, developing real-time 3D animation using motion capture and Unreal Engine.
